What is Title 1?

Title I is a federally funded program that is part of the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015.  This year is a transition year between the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 and the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015.  The goal of the Title I program is to help students meet challenging state content and student performance standards. Funding is provided to districts and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families.

Desert View, Overland and Stagecoach have Title I Schoolwide programs.  Walnut, Westridge, Northpark and Desert Elementary has a Title I Targeted Assistance program.
